Properties
Appearance: pale straw coloured liquid.
Freezing Point: 20.8°C.
Boiling point cannot be determined as pirimiphos-methyl decompses on heating, at approximately 120°C
Vapour Pressure: 2.0×10-6KPa (20°C)
Stability: Pirimiphos-methyl is stable for up to six months at room temperature. It is hydrolysed by strong acid or alkali.
Water solubility: 10mg/L (20°C)
Pirimiphos-methyl is miscible with most organic solvents. Its solubility in water is approximately 5 mg/l at 30°C.
 
 
 
Applications
Control of a wide range of insects and mites in warehouses, stored grain, animal houses, domestic and industrial premises; chewing insects, sucking insects, boring insects, and mites on vegetables, ornamentals, bulb flowers, sugar cane, maize, sorghum, rice, citrus and other fruit, olives, vines, alfalfa, cereals, etc.; and glasshouse pests (especially whitefly, thrips, mealybugs, aphids, and mites) on tomatoes, cucumbers, capsicums, aubergines, and other glasshouse crops.
